Meet your Psychologist Zarina Chohan
My name is Zarina, and I was born in South Africa. Growing up in a richly diverse and multicultural society has shaped my ability to connect with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
I have always been passionate about understanding human behaviour and mental health. With extensive experience in supporting individuals through trauma, depression, anxiety, bereavement, and relationship challenges, I am committed to creating a compassionate and safe space for healing and growth. My approach is rooted in empathy, cultural awareness, and evidence-based practices, ensuring that every person I work with feels truly seen, heard, and understood in their journey toward well-being.
My approach is eclectic and integrates, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness, mind-body connection, somatic techniques and psychodynamic brief therapy. At the heart of my therapeutic approach is the relationship I build with each client—one founded on trust, respect, and genuine understanding. I believe that meaningful change happens within the safety of a strong therapeutic connection, where individuals feel heard, validated, and supported in exploring their experiences.
